Three Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists were shot by security forces on Monday during an encounter in the Wachi village of Shopian district in Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces confirmed that these three terrorists were affliated with Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist organisation.
“Three terrorists eliminated in Jt Ops in Op Watchi (Shopian), affiliated proscribed terrorist outfit Hizbul Mujahideen. Weapons & war like stores recovered,” Chinar Corps of Indian Army tweeted.

This joint operation was carried out by 55 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army and Special Group of Jammu and Kashmir police when three terrorists were hiding in a residential house in South Kashmir.

One of the terrorists has been identified as one Adil Sheikh, hailing from the Zainapora village in Shopian. The second terrorist was identified as Waseem Wani, a resident of the Urpora village in Shopian district and the third terrorist was identified as Hidayatullah Malik.
