A protester threw open ‘petrol-bombs’ at the police in a clash between police and anti-citizenship amendment law (CAA) protesters in North East Delhi on Tuesday, But the bomb was exploded in his own hand. These bombs were made from indigenous formulas. It does not require much material to make these bombs.
According to a Police officer of Delhi Police, “The name of the arrested attacker is Raees. Police arrested him along with his partner Hassan. In fact, on Tuesday, Raees had openly used these petrol-bombs over the public and the police.”

According to a Delhi Police Crime Branch official, “During the violence in Seelampur-Jafrabad on Tuesday, a video surfaced on social media, in which a man was seen running backwards at the scene after throwing a bomb. Putting a muffler around the neck. this man was injured. Along with that suspect, some other men were seen running backwards.
It is clearly visible in the viral video that along with the explosion, the hand of the suspect (who later turned out to be a petrol bomb thrower) has damaged in the blast.”
