On 10th August 2019, Al Jazeera wrote an article and claimed that Indian Kashmiri Muslims were protesting over India stripping Muslim-majority region of special status But This was a fake news reported by Al Jazeera.
Al Jazeera has posted a video in its report where it can be clearly seen that the video is from “Qaid E Azam Bridge” which comes under the Public works department, Govt of Azad Jammu & kashmir(Pakistan occupied Kashmir) and Al Jazeera has claimed that This video is from Indian Administered Kashmir.
Watch the video of Al-Jazeera where it can be clearly seen the protest at “Qaid E Azam Bridge”.
“Qaid E Azam Bridge” is located in Muzaffarabad as you can see in the map attached below. Muzaffarabad is the capital of the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir which is called Azad Jammu and Kashmir by Pakistan. Muzaffarabad District is located near the confluence of the Jhelum and Neelum rivers.
Ministry of Home Affairs has also said that There are media reports claiming there was a protest involving 10,000 people in Srinagar. This is completely fabricated and incorrect. There have been a few stray protests in Srinagar/Baramulla and none involved a crowd of more than 20 people.
