Flying Officer Antara Mehta Is The Only Woman Officer In Her Batch Selected For Fighter Stream

Flying Officer Antara Mehta has become the first woman fighter pilot from Maharashtra and 10th in the country. On Saturday, She was commissioned into Indian Air Force during Combined Graduation Parade at Indian Air Force Academy, Dundigal.

Public Relation Officer of Defence Ministry in Nagpur region congratulated the Flying Officer Antara Mehta and tweeted, “Flying Officer Antara Mehta, daughter of Ravi & Poonam Mehta becomes the first women Fighter Pilot frm Nagpur & Maharashtra at Combined Graduation Parade at Air Force Academy on 20 June20. She is the only women officer in her batch selected for Fighter Stream.”

Total 123 flight cadets were commissioned into Indian Air Force by the Air Force Chief RKS Bhadauria on 20 Jun 20 at AFA, Dundigal.
