Bill In US Congress To Recognise Tibet As Independent Country

US Representative Scott Perry has tabled a Bill in United States Congress to “authorize the President to recognize the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China as a separate, independent country, and for other purposes”.

The bill was introduced and referred to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, 19 May.

US Representative Scott Perry has introduced a similar Bill for Hong Kong. Both the areas are under China’s control at present. The move comes amid mounting tension between US-China due to Coronavirus.
