BSF DG says West Bengal is Rohingya friendly state

DG of Indian Border Security Force, KK Sharma talked about the demonetization and rohingyas issues  at the 47th DG level talks between the Border Security Force and the Border Guard Bangladesh held in Delhi. K.K Sharma said that West bengal is rohingya friendly state where most of the rohingyas are coming and taking shelter in west Bengal.

DG BSF KK Sharma said, “We’re aware that a large number of Rohingyas are assembled in Bangladesh & from time to time, some small groups did try to enter India. But I’m very happy to say that we did not let them succeed. There has not been any large-scale influx of Rohingyas into India”

Further he said, “Rohingyas who’re already in the country, are also under pressure at some places. So they’re going to West Bengal that is slightly friendly with them & has created camps for Rohingyas coming from within the country, not from Bangladesh”

Talking about the demonetization and Fake currency KK Sharma, DG BSF said, “Smuggling of Fake Indian Currency Note (FICN) has come down considerably after demonetisation. Quality also isn’t good so they can be easily detected. Mostly, we find that Bangladeshi territory is being used as a transit. This yr, the seizure was 11 lakhs only”

He further talked about the smart fencing of border and said, “The first pilot project of Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System which you may call smart fence is already in place & working in Jammu, and a formal inauguration will be done by Home Minister on 17th September. This is a tentative date given by Home Minister “
