CAG report: NDA Rafale deal 2.86% cheaper than UPA, saved 17% money for India Specific-enhancement

The much awaited CAG report in controversial RAFALE deal tabled in Parliament on Wednesday by NDA government. The CAG report reveals that NDA Rafale deal was 2.86% cheaper than UPA Rafale Deal. CAG says, compared to the 126 aircraft deal, India managed to save 17.08% money for the India Specific Enhancements in the 36 Rafale contract.

The CAG report said that the delivery schedule of the first 18 Rafale aircraft is better than the one proposed in the 126 aircraft deal, by five months. 

The 141-page CAG report has mentioned that the fly away price of the jet is same as agreed in the 2007 by the UPA government.
