The central government is sending 25,000 more soldiers in the Kashmir Valley within a week of the decision to deploy 10 thousand additional security forces in Jammu and Kashmir . According to official sources, the troops have started reaching the valley since early morning on Thursday and they are being deployed in different parts of the state.
After the deployment of such a large number of soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir, different types of speculation have started. Last week the government had sent the 100 companies of security forces in Jammu & Kashmir. In which 50 companies of CRPF, 30 companies of SSB, 10 companies of ITBP and 10 comoanies of BSF have been deployed in J&K. One company comprises about 100 personnel.
Many people are saying that Government is going to remove Article 35-A but on Wednesday, the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Satyapal Malik, had clearly rejected the speculation to remove Article 35-A. He had said that there is no such plan.
On the other hand, Indian Army chief General Bipin Rawat has also visited the Jammu & Kashmir. He has reached Srinagar on Thursday to review the security arrangements. The army spokesman says that the army chief will remain in Kashmir for the next two days.
Meanwhile, Amarnath Yatra has also been postponed till August 4. The government says that due to bad weather this decision has been taken. However, the Meteorological Department has not made any assumptions about any major changes. Official sources also say that some personnel engaged in the security of the Amarnath Yatra are being sent to other places keeping law and order in the mind.
