Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrested a Congress party member Gowhar Ahmed Wani for ferrying terrorists in Shopian district of South Kashmir.
According to local news agency of J&K, advocate Gowhar Ahmed Wani is a resident of imamsahab Shopian in South Kashmir. He was held while ferrying militants on 7 December.
According to sources, terrorists were travelling in a car and when 44 RR of Indian Army intercepted it at Baba Khader Rampura Chowk in Trenz area on December 7, the terrorists escaped and left vehicle near Pargachoo.

Police has registered a case under UAPA in this connection and arrested Congress member advocate Gowhar Ahmed Wani today.
