A Sub Inspector of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) posted in Delhi has died in Safdarjung Hospital from Coronavirus. Home Minister Amit Shah and CRPF Director General Anand Prakash Maheshwari have expressed grief over the death of Corona Warrior Sub-Inspector Ikram Hussain.
55 years old Mohammad Ikram Hussain had tested positive for Coronavirus and was admitted to a hospital in Delhi last week. He had got the virus from a nursing assistant of the CRPF who had also tested positive at the Mayur Vihar Camp.
“I am deeply saddened to learn about the death of Brave Sub-Inspector of CRPF Mohammad Ikram Hussain. He fought heroically with the Corona virus. His contribution to the service and internal security of the country inspires all of us,” Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted.

CRPF Director General Anand Prakash Maheshwari wrote – Sub Inspector Ikram Hussain, while performing his duty, come in contact with viral infection in Delhi. He faced it bravely but could not save his life. We stand shoulder to shoulder with his family in this hour of grief and reiterate our commitment to the public.

CRPF Sub-inspector Mohammad Ikram Hussain was a resident of Assam. He was also a patient of diabetes and hypertension. On April 25, 15 soldiers, including this inspector, were hospitalized after being found corona positive.
