CRPF Jawan Pawan Kumar Choubey, Who Rescued 3-Year Old Child During Encounter

One CRPF jawan and one civilian lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Sopore area of Baramulla district in Jammu & Kashmir. Three CRPF jawans were also injured in this attack. A three year old child was also rescued by security forces during this encounter.

After this encounter, A heart-wrenching photograph of a CRPF Jawan rescuing a child has gone viral on social media on Wednesday.

CRPF Jawan Pawan Kumar Choubey rescued the three year old child from terrorists during encounter. He is a CoBRA commando of CRPF and he has been involved in multiple operations in Jammu and Kashmir since 2016. He belongs to Varanasi and is from the 179 battalion of CRPF. He joined the CRPF in 2010.

According to CRPF official, When terrorists started firing from Mosque in Sopore area, a local identified as Bashir Ahmed lost his life. The CRPF jawan Pawan Kumar Choubey saw a child was crying near his grandfather’s dead body. He immediately went out to rescue the child with the help of fellow soldiers.

When Pawan Kumar saw innocent child surrounded by bullets then he went closer to him, took cover and started calling the child towards his side. The Child walked towards Pawan and later he was rescued from the encounter spot by security forces.
