Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is going to inaugurate 43 bridges made by Border Roads Organisation across seven States and UTs. Amid tensions with China along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), India has increased the construction works in border areas.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate these bridges on 24th September at 10.30 am via video conference. These 43 bridges are strategically located and would help the Indian Army in moving logistics, tanks and other heavy artillery.
The break-up of the 43 Bridges are as follows:
- Jammu Kashmir- 10
- Ladakh- 07
- Himachal Pradesh- 02
- Punjab- 04
- Uttarakhand- 08
- Arunachal Pradesh- 08
- Sikkim- 04
