Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said, “All airlines to be ready for additional flights to and from Srinagar at short notice to fly out tourists and Amarnath yatris from Srinagar.” This statement of DGCA has come just after the advisory issued by J&K government and Air India & Vistara have also rescheduled/canceled its flight to Srinagar till 15th Aug.

Today Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) administration has issued an advisory for Amarnath Yatri and tourists staying in kashmir valley and asked them to leave the kashmir valley as soon as possible.
The security advisory to the Amarnath pilgrims and the tourists in the Kashmir Valley says, “Keeping in view the latest intelligence inputs of security threats, with specific targeting of the Amarth Yatra, and given the prevailing security situation in the Kashmir Valley, in the interest of safety and security of the tourists and Amarnath Yatris, it is advised that they may curtail their stay in the Valley immediately and take necessary measures to return as soon as possible.”
Indian security forces are on high alert in J&K after the recovery of IED from Amarnath Yatra route.
