In Uttar Pradesh the SP-BSP Alliance has taken a big decision. Samajwadi Party has given tickets to suspended BSF jawan Tej bahadur Yadav. Samajwadi Party has changed the earlier candidate from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat. Shalini Yadav was made the party’s candidate from here earlier and she had filed the nomination too.
Tej Bahadur Yadav, who was in the BSF, had come in the media some time ago because of one of his videos. He made a video related to the quality of the food given to the soldiers in BSF. After the ruckus he was dismissed from the job. Elections to be held on May 19 in Varanasi.

Tej Bahadur Yadav was posted at a camp near the LoC in Jammu in Kashmir as a constable in 29th battalion of BSF. Tej Bahadur Yadav came to light on 8th and 9th January 2017 when he uploaded the video on facebook where he had complained about the allegedly poor quality of food in BSF camp and accused BSF officers were selling the food which were sent by the government for the BSF soldiers.
In videos uploaded on Facebook, the jawan claimed that while government procures essentials for them, the higher-ups and officers “sell it off” in an “illegal” manner in the market. He claimed, “We go to sleep on empty stomach”.
The video went viral and picked up by National Media. After this Home Minister Rajnath Singh and MoS Home Kiren Rijiju responded.
I have seen a video regarding a BSF jawan’s plight. I have asked the HS to immediately seek a report from the BSF & take appropriate action.— Chowkidar Rajnath Singh (@rajnathsingh) January 9, 2017
Welfare of our Security Forces absolute priority. Any anomaly to be dealt with firmly: MoS Home Kiren Rijiju on BSF Jawan video.— ANI (@ANI) January 10, 2017
After This Two enquiry were started. First look into the allegations made by Tej Bahadur Yadav, and second to look into the behaviour of the jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav on Social Media.
At the time of enquiry both the Commandant and the second in command of the 29th battalion, where Yadav was posted, were also transferred to Tripura to ensure a fair enquiry into the charges levelled by the jawan and Tej Bahadur Yadav was also transferred to BSF headquarters in Jammu .
In the report of court of enquiry , Tej Bahadur Yadav found guilty and it was said that Yadav had made false allegation against his officers. After the report, Tej Bahadur Yadav was dismissed from from BSF service in April, 2017.
According to MHA officials, Around 17 percent of Facebook friends of BSF trooper Tej Bahadur Yadav were from Pakistan raising alarm in the security establishment of the country.
“A scrutiny of Tej Bahadur Yadav’s account showed that 17% of his Facebook friends are from across the border. And who knows how many of them are connected with Pakistani spy agency ISI. We also found that in all 39 fake Facebook accounts in his name are in circulation now and they are keeping the whole controversy alive,” said a senior home ministry official.
Even before he was dismissed in 2017, Tej Bahadur Yadav had gone to jail four times before his suspension from BSF.
In March 2010, Tej Bahdur yadav had faced the disciplinary action for using highly objectionable and abusive language against his seniors. When Yadav was asked by his seniors to remain on high alert during his duty then he alleged that seniors are sleeping all the day and issuing order for us. Tej Bahadur Yadav also threatened his seniors to shoot them with his rifle.
After This BSF court of enquiry conducted on Tej Bahadur Yadav and Yadav was found guilty in that report, Tej Bahadur yadav had used criminal force and inappropriate language for his superiors. Yadav had pleaded guilty on both the charges and requested for less punishment and pardon for the offences as his whole family depends on him, otherwise his family shall be ruined. He was sentenced to 3 months jail and his promotions were stalled for 3 years, and he didn’t get any salary, allowances during his jail term.
The order in which he was sentenced 3 months jail also said that Tej Bahadur Yadav had already punished three times before this and his character was very poor. His three 3 jail terms are given below:
- 14 days of rigorous imprisonment(RI) in 1996
- 7 days of rigorous imprisonment(RI) in 2003
- 28 days of rigorous imprisonment(RI) in 2007
Now Tej Bahadur Yadav has become full time politician and he is blaming Pm Modi for his suspension. But Here is the some point against him:
- He was jailed four times before 2014.
- He had more than 500 facebook friends from Pakistan who helped him to make his video viral
- He was posted at Poonch where Ration comes from Indian Army and Yadav was saying that BSF’s officers were selling the food.
