Ex ISI Chief Asad Durrani Working for RAW since 2008, Says Pakistan’s Defence Ministry

The Pakistani Defence Ministry said that Lieutenant General (retd) Asad Durrani had been associated with the Indian intelligence agency RAW since 2008 and had been in touch with other hostile elements since 2008.

According to Geo Tv report, Former ISI chief Asad Durrani has requested the court to remove his name from the ECL in order to leave the country. However, Asad Durrani’s name was placed in the ECL in 2019 on the recommendation of the Pak Ministry of Defense.

According to the written reply, Asad Durrani co-authored a book titled ‘The Spy Chronicles’ with AS Dulat, the former head of the Indian Intelligence Agency.

“Asad Durrani’s going out for book launch, panel interview or participating in an international conference is against national security. According to the existing law, a person who is accused of conspiracy against the country cannot go outside Pakistan,” said The Pakistani Ministry of Defense in its reply.

On the other hand, in response to the Ministry of Defence, Asad Durrani said that he did not want to talk about the allegation of the Ministry of Defense because the matter is in the court and should be resolved through the judicial process.
