Gorkha Rifles jawan Rajib Thapa sacrificed his life at LoC. He lost his life in ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Naushera sector of Jammu and Kashmir on 23rd August, 2019. He belonged to Alipurduar district of West Bengal.
Shaheed Naik Rajib Thapa of 5/3 Gorkha Rifles is survived by his wife Smt Khusbu Mangar Thapa, his 8-month old girl child Kabya, his parents and an unmarried sister.
On 24th August, Indian Army paid homage by laying a wreath on the mortal remains of Naik Rajib Thapa in New Delhi.
