US President Donald Trump has hit out Pakistan once again on the issue of terrorism. Trump defended his administration’s decision to stop the military aid of millions of dollars from Pakistan, saying on Sunday that Pakistan does not do any work for America. The US president said that the government of Pakistan had helped to hide the al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
“Of course we should have captured Osama Bin Laden long before we did,” the US President tweeted, echoing remarks he gave to Fox News Sunday that drew the ire of Pakistan, where Bin Laden had been hiding.
“I pointed him out in my book just BEFORE the attack on the World Trade Center,” he continued.
“President Clinton famously missed his shot. We paid Pakistan Billions of Dollars & they never told us he was living there. Fools!”
He further said, “But stay right next to Military Academy in Pakistan .. Everyone in Pakistan knew that he was there and we were giving Pakistan $ 1.3 billion a year … bin Laden was living in Pakistan We were supporting Pakistan. We were giving them $ 1.3 billion a year … which we are not giving them now. I ended it because they did nothing for us. ‘
Pakistan leader Imran Khan hit back Monday at Donald Trump’s claim, calling on the president to name an ally which has sacrificed more against militancy.
