Former Army Chief Dalbir Suhag praises Pm Narendra Modi for surgical strike

Two years of surgical strike are going to be complete.  The surgical strike was done between the 12.30 am to 4:30 am in the midnight of 28-29 September in the year 2016. The planning of the operation was done at the Army headquarters in Delhi from 8 o’clock in the evening. The former Chief of Army Staff, General (Retired) Dalbir Singh Suhag shared many things about Army’s surgical strike after the Uri terrorist attack. He has said all this at a time when the Parakram Parva is celebrated to show the courage of the Indian Army across the country.

The former Chief of Army Staff, General (Retired) Dalbir Singh Suhag praises Pm Narendra Modi and said, “I briefed PM on 23 Sep’16. No. of options were presented to PM. After due deliberations, PM approved the option that we had recommended. We executed that option successfully&did the nation proud. It was a very bold decision by PM”

He further said, “We wanted to send a strong message (to Pakistan) that we can cross LoC. We can hit them, cause major damage & also return without casualty. This was a difficult option, more challenging, but we exercised it to send a message that we can do it”

Then Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar, NSA Ajit Doval and the then Chief of the Army General Dalbir Singh Suhag had seen the whole process sitting in the War Room present at Army Headquarters. Pm Narendra Modi was also taking the information about the surgical strike in mid-night.
