After the death of top Hizbul commander Riyaz Naikoo, Hizbul Mujahideen has appointed Gazi Haider as its new operational chief in Kashmir.
According to a statement released by Hizbul Mujahideen Spokesperson Saleem Hashmi, a command council meeting was held under the chairmanship of United Jihad Council (a group of several Pakistan-based terror groups sponsored by ISI) and Hizbul supremo Syed Salahuddin.
During the meet, The name of Ghazi Haider was announced as the new operational chief commander for Jammu and Kashmir.
According to statement, Hizbul Mujahideen also named Zafarul Islam as the deputy chief operational commander and another terrorist, Abu Tariq Bhai, as his chief military adviser in jammu and Kashmir.
