Indan Air Force has recommended the war gallantry award Vir Chakra for the wing commander Abhinandan as well as the Indian Air Force has transferred Wing Commander Abhinandan out of Kashmir for security reasons. He was posted at the Srinagar Airbase. He will be deployed on the important airbase of the Western Sector near the Pakistani border.
Sources said that the order of deployment of Wing Commander has been issued and he will soon go to Srinagar Airbase to replace his deployment.
The new deployment is also of fighter base and if Wing Commander Abhinandan gets the permission to fly the plane, he will be able to fly. Sources said that the presence of Pakistani militants and their helpers in the Kashmir Valley was a threat to the life of Wing Commander Abhinandan .

Indian Air Force medal has been also recommended for the bravery of pilots of the 12 Mirage-2000 fighters who are involved in the Balakot Air Strike. Government sources said about this information.
Vir Chakra is the third highest honour after the Param Vir Chakra and Mahavir Chakra, given in the army for gallantry at the time of war. On February 27, after the Balakot Air Strike, Pakistani aircraft tried to attack the Indian Army bases but Wing Commander Abhinandan had killed an F-16 fighter plane of Pakistan in this dogfight between India & Pakistan.
