India has successfully test fired two Nuclear Capable Prithvi-2 missile on Wednesday night. It is an surface to surface missile which has been developed indigenously. It was tested by Army as a part of user trial from a test range off Odisha coast.
“Two Prithvi-2 missiles were test fired consecutively and both tests met all parameters,” the official said from the Interim Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur.

This trial of Prithvi-2 missile has strike range of 350 Kms and It is capable of carrying 500-1,000 kg of warheads and is powered by liquid propulsion twin engines.
This test-fired was conducted with a mobile launcher from launch complex-3 of the ITR between 7 pm to 7.15 pm on Wednesday.
