India is constantly giving shocks to China on the economic front due to standoff between India & China at LAC. Now India is preparing to ban Chinese companies in all highway projects. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has given this information. Chinese companies will also not be allowed to work as joint venture partners (JVs).
It is worth mentioning that before this, Chinese companies were thrown out of many contracts of the railway. Apart from this, the government has banned 59 Chinese apps.
Road Transport & Highways and MSME Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the government will also ensure that there is no relationship with Chinese investors in various sectors of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
In an interview to news agency PTI, Nitin Gadkari said, “We will not even allow Chinese companies to build joint ventures in road construction, If they come to our country through joint ventures, then we will not allow it by following a strict attitude.”

He said that the government will soon come up with a policy in this regard, through which Chinese companies will be banned and a soft policy will be made for Indian companies so that Indian companies can bid for the highway project.
