Indian Air Force has rescued 71 trekkers at Niraq in Zanskar valley in Ladakh. The trekkers were on the famous ‘Chadar Trek’ when they got stranded due to sudden flooding in the river. After this, Indian Air Force carried out a Search & Rescue Operation by ALH Helicopters.

Indian Air Force tweeted the photos of rescue operation and wrote, ” IAF launched the rescue operations at a short notice & expeditiously rescued 71 persons to Leh. Efforts to rescue the remaining persons, which includes 9 French & Chinese nationals at Padum, are continuing in spite of prevailing adverse weather conditions.”
