Watch: Indian Chetak Helicopters deploy In An Operation To Control The Mauritius Oil Spill

A Chetak helicopter of Indian Army deployed in an operation to control the oil spill near Mauritius. These operations have been going on for the last three days. A Japanese bulk carrier struck a coral reef on 25 July with 4,000 tonnes of the fuel, causing an ecological emergency in Mauritius.

Indian made Dhruv helicopters have also been deployed in rescue operation in Mauritius to extricate skimmed oil from MV Wakashio to a tug. These Helicopters were gifted to gov of #Mauritius by India.
