Indian Army jawan Amit Panghal becomes the first ever Indian boxer to reach the finals of World Boxing Championship

Indian Army Jawan and Boxer, Naib Subedar Amit Panghal has created history by performing brilliantly in the AIBA World Boxing Championship. He has reached the finals of the 52 kg category of the World Boxing Championship. Amit Panghal defeated the Saken Bibossinov by 3-2 in 52kg semifinal.

Amit Panghal is the first male boxer of India to reach the final of World Boxing Championship. Now it is the first time when any Indian Boxer is going to fight in final of World Boxing Championship. As far as women’s boxing is concerned, Everyone knows that MC Mary Kom has become a six-time world champion.

Amit Panghal now has a chance to win the first gold medal in the World Boxing Championship for India. If He is not able to do this, then history will be written too. If Amit loses, he will get a silver medal. No Indian boxer has ever won the silver medal in World Boxing Championship.

Amit Pangal won the gold medal in Asian games previous year.

Amit Panghal said after winning, “It’s a great feeling to become the first Indian to qualify to the finals of World Championships. I will now make sure I get the gold for India and I am going to do everything to get it.”
