An Indian Army Jawan Prashant Thakur made supreme sacrifice while fighting against terrorists during an encounter in Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.
24-year-old Prashant Thakur belonged to Gvana village in Renukaji area of Sirmaur district in Himachal Pradesh. He had joined the Army in September 2014 at the age of 18. He is survived by his father Surjan Singh, mother Rekha Devi and brother Vishal.
Yesterday, Terrorists attacked on a joint naka party of CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) and Police at Kreeri area of Baramullah district. 2 CRPF jawans and a Jammu & Kashmir special Police officer (SPO) lost their lives in this terror attack.
