Eastern command of Indian Army has lost its hero dog named Dutch. Union Minister Jitendra Singh has expressed grief over the death of Dog ‘Dutch’ of the Army Eastern Command. The 9 year-old dog left this world on Wednesday (September 11).
Dutch was a decorated dog of Eastern Command who was instrumental in identifying IEDs in various CI/CT Operations.
Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh tweeted, “We lost a real hero in service to the nation.”

The dogs of the Indian army contribute significantly in the service of the country just like soldiers. After death, these dogs are given a respectful farewell like a soldier.
