Indian Army again set the example of humanity by sending back a PoK civilian who crossed the border. The soldiers of the Indian Army handed over PoK civilian to the Pakistan Army.
A 32-year-old Shabbir Ahmed accidentally crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and entered the Tangdhar area of Jammu and Kashmir on 17 May, 2019.
With support of people of Tangdhar, he was apprehended by Indian Army. Shabbir Ahmed was provided medical treatment on humanitarian grounds. Officials said he was taken to the hospital for medical examination where doctors said he was mentally ill.

The Indian Army said that Shabbir Ahmed was treated with respect and All his needs were fulfilled. The Indian Army contacted the authorities to send him back to PoK. After which the SDM of Tangdhar on Thursday handed them over to the administration of POK at Tithwal crossing point. During this time Pakistani officials appreciated the humanitarianism of the Indian Army.
