Indian Security agency has arrested an Indian railway employee who was working for Pakistani intelligence agency ISI and sending security input to Pakistan. Based on the input of the Security agencies, This railway employee has been arrested from Amritsar of Punjab. Punjab Police has taken him into custody after getting input.
The accused’s name is Ramkesh Meena, who was posted at Attari Railway Station. Ramkesh was a class-IV employee in Indian Railways. Punjab Police’s SSP Vikramjit Singh Duggal said after the arrest of the accused that the police has got some pictures of BSF officials from Ramkesh.
The police has registered a case against Ramkesh and investigation is being done from every angle. It is being told that Ramkesh is a resident of Dausa district of Rajasthan.
Some information related to the Samjhauta Express has also been received from Ramkesh. In the inquiry, it has been found that Ramkesh was making video of Atari Railway Station, not only that, He was also gathering the information related to the Samjhauta express and he had also gathered information about some posts of the BSF.
According to Tribune India report, “It has come to light that the suspect had gathered information regarding meetings of officials of different agencies at the Attari railway station. Following the tip-off, he was booked and will be arrested soon. The police have seized his phone,” said Amritsar (Rural) SSP Vikram Jeet Duggal.
According to police sources, Ramkesh has sent some photos and videos to handlers present in Pakistan. In this case, the police had got enough input, after which the arrest took place. Still, cyber experts are investigating this matter and extracting more data from his mobile phone.
A case under Sections 3, 5 and 9 of the Official Secret Act, 1923, has been registered against him.
