Iran Accepts It Accidentally Shot Down Ukrainian Plane

Today, Iran has accepted its mistake and said that It had accidentally shot down Ukrainian plane. Earlier Iran had denied it by saying it crashed due to mechanical failure.

Foreign Minister of Iran Javed Zarif stated that ‘unintentionally’ shot down Ukrainian jetliner because of human error.

He apologised on twitter and said, “A sad day. Preliminary conclusions of internal investigation by Armed Forces: Human error at time of crisis caused by US adventurism led to disaster. Our profound regrets, apologies and condolences to our people, to the families of all victims, and to other affected nations.”

A total of 176 passengers were in this aircraft, including 82 from Iran, 11 from Ukraine, 63 from Canada, 10 from Sweden, 4 from Afghanistan, 3 from Germany and 3 from Britain. All the passengers lost their lives in the accident.
