The Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested an ISIS operative of the Islamic State (ISIS) near Ridge Road in the national capital at around 11:30 pm on late Friday (August 21). According to information received from the police, an IED and pistol have also been recovered from him.
The ISIS operative has been identified as Abu Yusuf Khan and he hails from Uttar Pradesh. He was nabbed on Ridge Road between Karol Bagh and Dhaula Kuan in Delhi after a shootout at around 11:30 pm on Friday.
Now, National Security Guard (NSG) commandos have been deployed near Buddha Jayanti Park in Ridge Road area, from where one ISIS operative was arrested with IEDs.

“There was an exchange of fire after which he was arrested. He was a lone wolf who had planned an attack in the national capital. We have recovered a pistol and two IEDs from him. We will share more details during the day,” Pramod Kuswaha, deputy commissioner of police (special cell), said.
