After Chandrayaan-2, now the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is planning to launch Chandrayaan-3 Moon Mission soon. ISRO has started preparations for this. According to sources, ISRO may launch Chandrayaan-3 in November 2020 for its next moon mission.
If sources are to be believed, there was a meeting of the overview committee of ISRO for Chandrayaan-3 mission recently. In this, the committee has made its recommendations.
According to the Times of India report, the committee has made its proposals regarding operational power, sensors, engineering and navigation in its recommendations. ISRO has formed several committees for Chandrayaan-3 and three high-level meetings of three sub-committees have also been held with the panel since October.
According to sources, ISRO’s Mission Moon’s Chandrayaan-3 will have only lander and rover. This means that the orbiter will not be sent because Chandrayaan-2’s orbiter is already in the Moon’s orbit. Scientists say that the orbiter is working properly and will continue to work like this for the next 7 years.
According to a scientist, the work of Chandrayaan-3 is going on at a fast speed. ISRO has also started working on many important issues including landing site, local navigation. An official notice (internal) has been issued on 5 October. It has been suggested to change and improve the lander. At the same time, some media reports are also claiming that the preparations for Chandrayaan-3 have started. But, right now it may take 3 years because it will take at least three years to prepare its lander, rover, rocket and payloads.
