The security forces have killed three terrorits, including Khalid, top commander of Jaish-e-Mohammed, in an encounter at Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir Thursday morning. In the encounter in the Dalipora area of Pulwama, a soldier of the security force has also been martyred. A civilian has also died. The Jaish commander Khalid, who is among the three terrorists killed in the encounter, is the mastermind of the Lethpora attack of 2017. Apart from this, three people, including two army personnel, have also been injured.
A police official said that in the initial stages of the encounter, three soldiers and two brothers Mohammed Younis Dar and Rais Ahmed Dar were injured. The officer said that Rais died on the spot, while his brother, Younis, was taken to a nearby hospital where he has been referred to Srinagar Hospital for special treatment.
The officer said that the injured jawans were taken to Army’s 92 Base Hospital, Badami Bagh, Srinagar, where one of them martyred. The injured soldiers are being treated in the hospital. Weapons and other ammunition have also been recovered from the site of the encounter with the bodies of the dead terrorists.

Two other terrorists who were neutralised in Pulwama encounter identified as Naseer Pandith of Pulwama, Umar Mir of Shopian. They were affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammed.
