Ant-India propaganda was launched by two Islamic organisations associated with Jamaat-e-Islami to defame India around the world. Because of Jamaat-e-Islami propaganda, the US Congress had heard a special session on the Kashmir issue after abrogation of Article 370.
After the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and Helping Hands for Relief and Development (HHRD) started a campaign in the US to internationalise the Kashmir issue, after which the US Congress had heard on Kashmir issue.
Jamaat–e-Islami was banned by Indian government in 2019 after getting strong evidence that it had relations with terror group Hizbul Mujahideen.
ICNA and HHRD launched a campaign called ‘Stand with Kashmir’ with the help of other Islamic organizations in America. Along with this, there were demonstrations against India outside the Indian Embassy and Consulates based in the US.
