Indian Army soldier Lance Naik Saleem Khan lost his life during rescue operation in Ladakh’s Shyok river on Friday. He was just 24 year old. He was posted with the 58 Engineer Regiment of the Indian Army in Ladakh.
During the rescue operation, Lance Naik Saleem Khan drowned after his boat capsized in Ladakh’s Shyok river on Friday. This incident took place around 3.20 pm on Friday.
He belonged to Mardaheri village in Patiala district. His father Mangal Deen, was also part of the Indian Army. Saleem Khan is survived by his mother and two siblings.

On 24 June, Another Indian Army jawan Naik DSV Sachin More lost his life during construction of a road and bridge in Leh in Ladakh. He belonged to Sakori village of Nashik district and is survived by his wife Sarika.
