Martyr Ankit Raj Kumar’s Statue Vandalised In Bihar’s Sheikhpura District

In Bihar’s Sheikhpura district, mischievous elements vandalised the statue of martyr soldier Ankit Raj Kumar. On Wednesday morning, when the local people saw the martyr’s statue broken, they informed the police. It is being told that this incident has been carried out by some anti-social youth from the village. The family has informed the police. There is anger among the people of the village after the incident.

On receiving the information, DM Inayat Khan, SP Dayashankar reached the spot with the team. DM has ensured to conduct a high level investigation in the case and take strict action against the accused. Villagers are angry due to this incident. The DM said that the statue will be repaired and security will be provided until the work is completed.

Ankit Raj had lost his life on 5 January 2018 on duty in Leh, Jammu and Kashmir. Martyr’s statue was installed near Ekdha village. The people of the village celebrate the Martyrdom Day on 5 January every year.

Last year, This statue was inaugurated by MP Chirag Paswan.
