In an encounter in Lawaypora area in the outskirts of Srinagar, two militants were killed and one militant was seriously injured, who is being treated at the State Hospital in Srinagar. In this encounter, CRPF jawan Ramesh Ranjan lost his life. Martyr Ramesh Ranjan of Bihar killed two terrorists before attaining martyrdom.
ADGP Zulfkar Hassan of CRPF narrated the bravery story of martyr Ramesh Ranjan. He said “In Lawaypora area in the outskirts of Srinagar, three men were coming towards the checking point of 73rd battalion of CRPF on a scooter, without helmet and were stopped. The last man on the scooter came down and opened fire at CRPF jawan. He shot at the head of CRPF jawan Ramesh Ranjan. The jawan did not lose courage and gave a fitting reply to the terrorists and killed two terrorist.“
The martyr CRPF constable GD Ramesh Ranjan was a resident of Dev Tola of Jagdishpur police station area in Bhojpur district of Bihar. CRPF constable GD Ramesh Ranjan was married 2 years ago. According to the information, the two elder brothers of the martyr are engineers in Delhi. His father, Radha Mohan Singh, is a retired sub-inspector.
His family is proud of Ramesh’s martyrdom. The villagers of his ancestral village Dev Tola in Bhojpur are feeling proud over Ramesh, who attained martyrdom during fighting with terrorists.
The martyr’s father said that the government should do such a thing in Srinagar so that the terrorists are eradicated from the roots and nobody else’s son should be a martyr.
Martyr Ramesh Ranjan joined the Central Reserve Police Force in the year 2011 and his first posting took place in Sambalpur Orissa, then his posting took place in Jammu and Kashmir. He was married to Baby Devi of Gudi village only two years ago.
