Article 35A was included in the Constitution in 1954 by the President’s Order (Presidency Order). Under this, the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir received certain rights. Under this arrangement, no person outside the state can purchase real estate in the state. This system deprives the woman of the state of property rights which marries outside the state.
