The crime branch’s SIT probe on the violence on December 20 in Seemapuri area has revealed a lot about the Anti-citizenship law protests. According to the SIT, more than 15 Bangladeshis were involved in the Delhi riots. More than 15 Bangladeshi people were involved in the mob of riots after the Namaz prayers on Friday December 20 in Seemapuri area.
These are all Bangladeshi who were living illegally in Seemapuri area. These rioters have been identified, raids are being conducted for their arrest soon.
The SIT of the Crime Branch, which is investigating the case since Monday, will go to Tihar Jail and interrogate about 55 accused arrested in the Delhi riots case. The names of 15 PFI workers have also been revealed in the Delhi riots, which may be questioned soon. Mobile phone call details of these people are being searched so that the location of these people can be established during the Delhi riots.
Some clues of funding and logistic support for Delhi riots have also been searched by SIT, which will also be revealed by SIT soon. Many suspicious phone call details related to the riots are also being investigated.
Update on 06/01/2020: 5 people were arrested by Crime branch in Seelampur riots which happened during anti CAA protests. 2 people among 5 arrested are Bangladeshi. The name of 2 arrested Bangladeshis are :
- Mohd Azad: Bangladeshi, residing in Usmanpur
- Mohd Subhan: Bangladesh, residing in Seemapuri
