Amidst the corona virus crisis, around 2300 people have been found at Nizamuddin Markaz of the national capital Delhi are now proving to be a headache for Indian government. Even in the midst of crisis, Maulana Saad of Nizamuddin Markaz was not ready to listen to Delhi Police and security agencies. He flatly refused to vacate the Mosque. After this, the help of National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval was taken to solve this crisis.
According to Hindustan Times report, Markaz’s leaders were not ready to listen. Meanwhile, NSA Doval had to reach there at 2 pm. This operation has now reached its second phase. Security officials are now trying to identify all foreigners who are in India. They will be screened first and then it will be checked whether they have broken the visa rules.
At the same time, when Maulana Saad refused to vacate Masjid, ignoring the plea of Delhi Police and security officials, Home Minister Amit Shah called NSA Doval.
Home Minister Amit Shah sought help from the NSA Ajit Doval to resolve the crisis. At 2 AM on the night of 28–29, Doval arrived at Markaz with Home Ministry officials. He convinced Maulana Saad to get the occupants to be tested for the Covid-19 infection and be quarantined.
Delhi Police had also warned senior members of Markaz, Nizamuddin to vacate Markaz & follow lockdown guidelines, on 23rd March 2020.
