A Pakistani bureaucrat, Zarar Haider Khan, was caught on CCTV footage while he was trying to sneak out the wallet of a Kuwaiti delegate during the Joint Ministerial Commission meeting on Friday. Zarar Khan is a Grade 20 Government of Pakistan officer who was a part of a visiting delegation that had come to meet the Prime Minister.
The incident surface when Kuwaiti delegate complained about his lost wallet and CCTV footage was checked in order to snatch the thief. Pakistan Finance Ministry official has expressed shock over the incident. He also informed that Khan has been taken under arrest and legal proceedings have begun against him. In the CCTV footage – which has gone viral on social media – he is seen pocketing the wallet which was possibly forgotten on the discussion table.

In what could be like adding insult to injury, Pakistan’s information ministry later reportedly told journalists that the current batch of bureaucrats had received ‘moral training’ from the previous government.
