On Tuesday, a young soldier of Indian Army Naik Rajwinder Singh made supreme while fighting with terrorists in Pulwama of Jammu and Kashmir. The 30-year-old Rajwinder Singh was posted in 24 Punjab Regiment.
Rajwinder Singh was born on 15 October 1990 in village Dodda in Patiala district. Jawan’s father’s name is Avtar Singh and mother’s name is Gurpreet Kaur. Rajvinder was interested in serving the country since childhood. Due to which he joined army on 24 March 2011. Nowadays, he was serving in 53 RR (24 Punjab Regiment-Parent Unit) in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir.
On Tuesday, while fighting bravely in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Pulwama, he laid down his life for country.
He was supposed to visit home in March but could not come due to the imposition of lockdown.
Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Tuesday announced ex-gratia compensation of Rs 50 lakh for the family of Naik Rajwinder Singh.
On Tuesday, A joint operation was started by the Army’s Rashtriya Rifles Unit and Jammu Kashmir Police at around 5.30 am in Pulwama. Two terrorists were neutralised by security forces in this encounter.
