Indian Army Jawan Rfn Amir Hussain Wani made supreme sacrifice on 6 August at the Line of Control in Machhil sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district. He lost his life after slipping into a deep stream in Kupawara during the patrolling at LoC.

“Rfn Amir Hussain Wani was part of patrol along the Line of Control, when he slipped and fell down into deep Nala. He was rescued by his team, provided immediate first aid and evacuated to nearest Army medical facility, however he lost his life in hospital,” Indian Army said in a statement.
Rfn Amir Hussain Wani had joined the Army in 2012 and he was just 27 years old. He belonged to Village Kuthair of Shangur Tehsil, Anantnag District in Jammu & Kashmir. He is survived by his wife.
The last rites of Rfn Amir Hussain Wani was done with full military honours at his native place in Anantnag District in Jammu & Kashmir.
