Two Indian Army soldiers, Sepoy Rattan Singh & Sepoy Deshmukh Yash made supreme sacrifice in the line of duty at Khushipora, Srinagar on 26 Nov, 2020. Late Sepoy Rattan Singh of 163 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) and Late Sepoy Deshmukh Yash of 101 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) were part of the Quick Reaction Team (QRT) in general area Khushipora when unidentified terrorists fired indiscriminately upon the QRT.
Sepoy Rattan Singh, 35 years old, had joined the Army in 2006. He hailed from Sarh Village, Reasi District, J&K and is survived by his wife & 3 Children.
Sepoy Deshmukh Yash, 21 years old, had joined the Army in 2019. He hailed from Pimpalgaon Village, Jalgaon District, Maharashtra and is survived by his parents.
