Shoaib Akhtar has made a sensational revelation in during the talk with a TV show. He revealed that Pakistan players refused to eat food with Danish Kaneria because he was a Hindu. He was never given any credit for his performances and was constantly humiliated because of his religion.

Shoaib said, ‘Danish was Hindu. So it was unfair to him. Some players had objected when he ate food with us.’
Rashid Latif, who was present in this chat show, said that Yusuf Yohana was also harassed in the dressing room because he was a Christian. As long as he was in christian religion, he was harassed. However, later he converted his religion and became Mohammad Yusuf.
Talking with ANI news agency, Danish Kaneria also accepted this and said, “Shoaib Akhtar told the truth. I’ll reveal names of players who didn’t like to talk to me as I was a Hindu. Didn’t have courage to speak on it, but now I will.”

Retired Major Gaurav Arya shared this video on Twitter and said, “If a test cricketer can be mistreated in such a manner, what hope is there for a common Hindu in Pakistan? Where will he go?”

Former Pakistani spinner Danish Kaneria has taken 261 wickets in 61 Tests and 15 wickets in 18 ODIs. He was the second Hindu to play for the Pakistan team. Anil Dalpat was the first hindu to play for Pakistan cricket team. Danish Kaneria is the nephew of Anil Dalpat.
