Violent protests are taking place in Delhi, including in the Northeast, against the Citizenship Amendment Act. The miscreants have caused extensive damage to other government property including the railways. Regarding this, Union Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi has given strict instructions to railway officials.
The Minister of State for Railways said, “I strictly warn concerned district administration &railway authorities, if anybody destroys public property, including railway, I direct as a Minister, shoot them at sight.”

It is noteworthy that in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAB) in West Bengal, protesters set trains on fire, broke railway stations, railway lines, toll plazas and buses etc. on Friday. Due to violent protests, train and road traffic in the state collapsed, due to which people had to face a lot of problems.
