Spying case of Nishant Agarwal and BSF jawan Achyutanand Mishra are related & both are Honey-Trapped

Cases of BrahMos systems engineer Nishant Agarwal arrested for leaking sensitive data about the project to Pakistan’s ISI and BSF Jawan Achyutanand Mishra are related. Nishant Agarwal’s name surfaced during the interrogation of BSF jawan caught in joint operation by ATS and Military intelligence.

Few days ago, UP ATS has arrested BSF jawan Achyutanand Mishra from Gautambuddh Nagar (Noida) in the case of Honey Trap. He used to be friend of a woman from Facebook and leaked confidential information to terrorist organization ISI. The arrested youth originally belongs to the Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh. Noida unit of UP ATS has arrested him. UP’s DGP OP Singh said that BSF jawan Achyutanand Mishra had friendship with the fake Facebook ID created by the name of a foreign woman on social media and gave him all information of the armed forces. While acknowledging his crime in the initial inquiry, he has acknowledged that he had shared the information of the BSF and Army training centers.

After Arresting of BSF Jawan, Nishant Agarwal came to radar of ATS:

After the investigation of BSF jawan, It is concluded that Achyutanand Mishra was Honey-trapped by a woman agent of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. With the intensity of this woman’s ID, 10 people associated with all defense establishments came to the radar in this investigation. The ATS was investigating with their intensity. In this connection, UP and Maharashtra ATS have raided Nagpur on Monday and arrested Nishant Agrawal, a resident of DRDO scientist, Roorkee. The team searched in his house and office and took possession of his computer system and laptop. The IG said that the recovered computers and laptops have received all the sensitive information related to the project. They said that the information which was found in it, many of them are such that Nishant is not related to that still he had stored those information in his laptop. It is doubtful that Nishant leaked these information to ISI agent during chatting.

Honey-Trap :

Nishant agarwal was honey-trapped by ISI agent. The ISI agent contacted Nishant through Facebook and then gradually increased close friendship. It is being told that Nishant was offered a good job by ISI agent. It was found in the investigation that Nishant’s was constantly chatting with two girls accounts. Both are fake accounts and their IP address (Internet Protocol) address has been found in Pakistan. It has also been found in the investigation that some other people have also been contacted by these fake IDs. They are also being investigated.

Nishant who hails from Uttrakhand’s Roorkee and works in hydraulics-pneumatics and warhead integration (production department), and headed a 40-member team including personnel from systems, engineers, technical and technology R&D group. Last month, he was awarded with the ‘young scientist award’ by DRDO.

Nishant Agarwal was a resident of Roorkee and he was married two months ago. He is a former student of NIT kurukshetra. He also did intern in IIT, Roorkee and IOCL(Indian oil corporation limited). He was now working as a system engineer at Brahmos Aerospace. He was also a Gold medalist in NIT, Kurukshetra.

ATS team has questioned two other suspects linked to the security establishment on the radar from the Facebook profile of the ISI agent. He told that on Monday ATS interrogated two people related to the defense establishment of Kanpur and Agra and discovered their computer system.
