In the year 2016, after the terrorist attack on Army camp in Uri, the surgical strike which was executed in Pakistan is now about two years away. This surgical strike was carried out on September 29. Meanwhile, the commanders of the army had demolished three launching pads of terrorists within 15 km inside Pakistan’s border. In this surgical strike 30 terrorists were also killed. After this, Pakistan had for some time removed the camps of the terrorists from there. For this, the soldiers involved in the surgical strike were also honored in the year 2017.

He told that the area through which the commandos were going to enter Pakistan, the area was also densely populated with population. The Corp. commander feared that the dogs present there could fail this surgical strike. The reason for this was that due to barking dogs, the locals could have know the information about commandos. In such a case, even dogs could bite the commandos. Not only this, commandos could neither kill the dog nor could anything else. So these dogs were to keep away from the commandos. The biggest assistant to keep them away was leopard urine and potty.

Actually, it was also an area where leopards often used to hunt dogs. Therefore, the only way to save the commandos was made. General Rajendra Nimborkar was very aware of this whole area. He said that while being the commander in the Nagrota sector, he was aware that the fear of attack of leopard is that the dogs prefer to remain closed in the house at night. All things were discussed while planning this strike. There was talk about the effect on this strike due to dogs. To prevent this, the commandos who carried out this surgical strike were given leopard’s potty and urine. The commandos used it inside the Pakistan border. The way the Commando chose, they went down dropping some of its drops.

Actually, one of the major reasons behind this was that the smell of leopard potty and urine was helpful in keeping the dogs away from the commandos. Secondly, with the smell of this potty and urine, dogs were aware of the presence of leopard in the area. He said that it was a secret mission, so any information related to it could have been fatal for the commandos who went to the Pakistan border. Nimborkar said that the then Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar asked him to execute within a week.

This information was given to them only one day before this strike. Before the strike, the launch pads of the terrorists were identified. Apart from this, all their activities were closely watched. The strike was scheduled for 3:30 in the morning. The task of one unit of the army was to take these commandos to the border, after which they had to travel on foot.surgical strike
