In 2018, security forces killed 311 terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir. Lt Gen Anil Kumar Bhatt, the 15 Corps Commander of the Army, said on Monday that it was possible due to the excellent coordination between the security forces and the freedom of operation. This is the biggest figure of terrorists killed in the province in the last decade. Earlier, 232 terrorists were killed in 2010 which was highest in the decade.

According to the Home Ministry, terror activities in the province this year have also increased compared to last year. Last year, there were 342 incidents of terror related incidents, while till the first week of December this year 429 incidents took place. Last year, where 40 civilians were killed while 77 civilians were killed this year. Terrorist attacks by the Pakistani terrorists this year have increased in the valley. Pakistani terrorists are getting their local cadre in the valley.
Terror killed more during governor’s rule:
After the governor’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir on June 19, more terrorists were killed than before. Meanwhile, the security forces also killed the several top terrorists commanders in the valley. Among them are Lashkar commander Naveed Jat, Jash-e-Mohammed’s head Maulana Masood Azhar’s nephew Sniper Usman Haider and Hizbul Mujahideen commander Altaf Ahmed Dar.
