Indian government has banned 59 Chinese apps including Tik Tok on 29th June. These apps are engaged in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order.
After the ban of Indian Government on Tik Tok, The loss of Chinese internet company ByteDance (parent company of Tik Tok) could be as high as $6 billion (Approx Rs 45,000 Crore), reported Chinese Media Global Times.

The Ministry of Information Technology has banned these apps because of raising concerns from citizens regarding security of data and risk to privacy relating to operation of certain apps.
